A very simple morning, then Pam drove Nan and I back to Petroio in Chianti. We stopped at a lovely place for lunch, S’Osteria al Fontanile Mangiadagio, Via Adriatica, 176/178, Colfiorito, Foligno, then back in the car. Once at Petroio we moved our bags into Nan’s car and drove to Firenze – and had a wonderful conversation as we always do. As we were getting into Firenze I asked Nan if she could drop me off somewhat close to my apartment (the centro is closed off to cars), and of course she said she actually planned on letting me out in Roma.
I got out near Sant’Ambrosio and had a chance to buy some bananas before walking a few blocks home. I had asked Nan earlier about how get the price on the bananas for the cashier, and it was explained that there’s a code for each product, so you put the bananas on the scale, enter the code, and the price label prints out. How civilized!
Got back home, did laundry, have Italian class tomorrow at Parola and also later with my online teacher and a client meeting at 7pm my time, 10am San Francisco.
