After getting up I put in a load of wash, had my cioccolato caldo, then headed out for my Italian class. From class I met up with Nan and her good friend Pam for lunch at Vivo just near Mercato Sant’Ambrosio. Pam (American) and her husband own a vineyard and winery, Fattoria di Petroio, south of Firenze in CastelNuovo Beraerdenga in Tuscany due east of Siena. I have a bottle of their Chianti Classico brought by Nan for my apartment.
Then back to the apartment and cleaning up a bit and getting ready for another InterNations event, this time aperitivo cena at Sea Bass. An aperativo cena ia an extensive amount of good simple foods that go well with wine and cocktails - but not a full dinner. It was a large group and I met several people again from Thursday night, plus a number of new ones – and I ended up sitting next to two Americans – one has been living here for 4 years and does not speak Italian. After our dinner it was off to a bar nearby and I got back to my place around 12:30.
